Xavier Pouchard's Tolix chair reinterpreted by 8 influential designers
The Chaise A chair by Tolix was created in 1935 by Xavier Pouchard. It quickly gained momentum, finding its place in a multitude of environments. An iconic piece of design, the chair owns its ubiquity to its uncompromising functionality and unique aesthetics. Crafted from sheet metal, the chaise A is sturdy while being light and stackable. For the chair's 80th anniversary, Tolix invited 8 renowned designers to apply their craft to the chair. Ranging from decoration to complete restructuring, the designers each applied their own design language and interpretations, actualizing the iconic Tolix chair.
