'Living Staircase' offers space to unwind in London office building
The key idea was to provide an opportunity for relaxation and recharging that fosters creative work. A row of herbs were planted along the balustrade, creating the impression of a flying garden. Passer-bys are free to use the plants and can brew their own tea at the top floor. Other floors feature a library of source books for creative inspiration, and Ingo Maurer’s Zettel’z 6 lamp for leaving notes and messages. Happily occupied by flora and the office community who fill it with life, the living staircase stays true to its name.
