Homes of Creativity
Wieden + Kennedy-New York
WORKac designed the ad agency’s 50,000m² office with huge open collective spaces in New York. The large circular staircase that is placed in the middle of a large platform created a new kind of auditorium opportunity for the large number of employees to gather together.
Ogilvy & Mather-Jakarta
The Global agency had appointed M Moser Associates to reinvent and connect their various offices around the city into one inspiring environment. The large-scale two floor plan was designed to host both the very open and the more segregated working method. “There is also a large, multipurpose area that could be used for everything from dining through relaxation to intimate discussions, or even large 'town hall' meetings with all staff members."
Saatchi & Saatchi-Toronto
Canadian headquarters of the advertising icon Saatchi & Saatchi is an award winning office designed by Bartlett & Associates. The fresh loft space includes areas of reception, exhibition-workplace, pitch room scaffold workstations and even rocking chairs to keep the Canadian spirit going.
The 3,500m² floor space was redesigned by Campbell Johnson, DDB’s senior environments designer. The company has been based in the Greys Avenue building for 15 years, and the challenge was to breathe life into the large space and create an environment that not only is inspirational but also meet the operational needs of the 200 staff and visiting clients. But what really puts the sparkle in the space’s tiara is the top floor, which houses a generous lounge, kitchen and bar space that works for house group meetings and functions for 200 people or more, and small get-togethers. “In a creative industry like ours, the importance of our working environment cannot be underestimated, and the revamp of the DDB building has been a fantastic success.
