Les Ateliers Guyon craft an exquisite hanging chair
Inspired by a pair of earrings seen in an exhibition in Saint Laurent, Montreal, the Solo Cello features a delicate form factor, with a thin steel frame. The seat of the chair is covered in vegetable tanned leather, creating an explicit contrast between itself and the frame.
The photographed pieces were made for the entrance hall of the ALT Hotel in Hallifax and Montreal. Guyon wanted to reinterpret and modernize the elegance of Art Deco, bringing it into a context that is relevant for today's connoisseur.
