Fishmonger goes downtown with Minusplus architecture
Led by a more industrial drive, the Minusplus team managed to establish a rustic ambiance without delving deep into the “romantic fishing village” aesthetic. Modest elements, raw surfaces, coarse finishes characterise the interior. The warehouse vibe is further strengthened by the visible beams and structures, and the simple wooden and metal furniture. The monochrome of the grey resin floor, white walls and black borders is broken by the pop of the bold ultramarine of the chairs.
Reused accessories like lamps, pulleys, or old fish chests turned into huge wine shelves emphasize the portside milieu. Even the newly made elements like the counter were designed to resemble warehouse crates. After many succesful projects, the architects of Minusplus once again managed to introduce something fresh and authentic to the Budapest scene.
