As a result, the structures melt into the surroundings. One of the lodgings is covered with an aluminum surface, which makes the structure almost invisible. Another, resembles a massive bird nest. The suspended structures seem like surreal works of nature and settled works of art rather than architectural structures.
The architects aimed at minimizing the carbon footprint and the impact on the surrounding wildlife. Therefore, all of the materials have been locally sourced.
Martin Videgard, the head designer described the project with the following words:’ It’s a mix of technology and wild nature. We were thinking about how human beings take lots of technical stuff with them when they set off out to explore uncultivated wild nature with harsh climates and extreme situations. So we wanted to avoid interfering, but to achieve that, we had to employ high-tech solutions.‘
We are a bunch of creatives from very diverse backgrounds, like architecture, interior architecture, design and graphics design held together by our passion for fresh ideas, new technology, alluring concepts, effortless fun, relentless design, products, and dreams.
