Camping made glam at St Jerome's - The Hotel
Camping is a fun but nevertheless messy business. Deficiencies in comfort, erratic weather conditions, limited space, bumpy sleeping surfaces are hurdles that keep many mainly city-dwellers from enjoying a night plein air. St Jerome’s - The Hotel targets exactly those adventurers who delve rather into an urban jungle than a real one, far from civilisation, but still want to incorporate something mildly wild into their stay. On a rooftop in central Melbourne, 20 lush bell-tents were installed, offering the luxuries of a boutique hotel, but keeping the romanticism of open-air camping.
Travelers can choose between the Luxe and Luxe Plus options, the latter featuring a bigger height and also a minibar. Breakfast service, wifi, an on-site general store, access to showers, and stunning view is available to all guests. Inside, electric blankets, heating, quilts, luxurious bed linen and designer furniture keep tenants warm and glam. The concept of "glamping" is the brainchild of Jerome Borazio, who is not new to the hospitality business - he brought in several years of experience to create something truly stunning and functional.
