Roger Hiorns (Birmingham, 1975) in 2008 has gained international attention with his installation called Seizure in which he completely filled a derelict flat located in London with a copper sulfate solution. The space, through a chemical process, was transformed into a dazzling, bright blue crystal-covered palace. Last year his foam installations were seen in Annet Gelink Gallery in Amsterdam. Hanging ceramic stacks, solely with the help of gravity, were pushed slowly up the foam pillars.
